The time has finally come to announce auditions for our upcoming Shrunken Heads Production: There Are Worse Things I Could Do: SHPC Sings The “Do Not Sing” List

“What’s the show about?” You ask: SHPC is putting on another virtual musical theatre revue! The theme this quarter is overdone musical theatre songs! Have you ever really really wanted to sing a song from a musical but told yourself not to because it’s a song that’s super overdone? Well now’s your chance! We can’t wait to hear songs like “Popular”, “She Used to Be Mine” and ofcourse “There Are Worse Things I Could Do”!

Audition Info:

*The auditions are open to all local college students, but as Shrunken Heads Production Company is a UCSB student production*

The date for “There Are Worse Things I Could Do: SHPC Sings the ‘Do Not Sing’ List” auditions are:

Friday, October 30th: 10am-2pm

*All auditions, rehearsals and performances will be held over zoom*

Audition Materials:

Please choose and prepare a musical theatre song that you believe to be overdone but have always wanted to sing, about a minute to a minute and a half in length. This may be performed a cappella or with a track (if you use a track please make sure there are no other vocals on said track)

Please log in to zoom 5 minutes before your scheduled audition time as auditions tend to run early/late.

If you are unable to make it to these auditions days, please let us know and send a recorded video audition to

Rehearsals will be determined according to the cast’s availability! Expect a low stress and small commitment rehearsal process. You will be receiving feedback and direction for the song you end up performing!

*Performances will be held in mid November*

We are so excited to begin this process and meet all of you amazing Actors and Singers!
